Our standard
BMI Pulse publishes educational calculators and reference material. We aim to describe established formulas accurately, distinguish population screening tools from individual diagnosis, explain important limitations, and avoid promises about personal health outcomes.
How content is prepared
Content is prepared by the BMI Pulse editorial team using primary research, public-health agencies, and established clinical references. Formula implementations are checked against worked examples and automated tests. We review pages when source guidance changes or when a reader reports an issue. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, content has not been individually reviewed by a physician.

Medical limitations
Calculator outputs are estimates for informational and educational use. They cannot account for every relevant factor and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Children, pregnant people, older adults, athletes, and people with medical conditions may require different interpretation. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions.
Independence and advertising
Advertising supports the site but does not determine calculator formulas, categories, conclusions, or corrections. Ads should be visually distinguishable from editorial content. We do not accept payment to alter a calculator result or health recommendation.
